I thought I was dying yesterday.
I'm feeling a bit better today, I had some kind of sever 24hr flu or food poisoning (pretty sure it was the flu though.)
I'm still kind of recovering from it as I haven't eaten in a few days now (forcing crackers upon myself right now)

I think it was mostly brought on by stress though :C My sister is sick too but wasnt nearly as bad as me (just aches and a fever.) I spent most of yesterday throwing up among other things. I'm going to go lay back down for a while and maybe I'll work on Umineko Commissions later. Despite being sick there's less than 2 weeks till ALA ; ;

Today wiped me out seriously! Work had me cashier for the mens half yearly sale. I forgotten how standing in one spot in shoes that used to be comfy can hurt your feet legs ...nm your whole friken body! lol sigh I am sooo glad it was just one day of it, and I get to go back to working my stock room!

Also, who's going to ECCC? Cus Leonard Nimoy is going to be there OMFG!

So uh... yeah. I think I did good. XD Though now I'm like auuuugh because the amount of consoles I have to buy video games for just doubled in a day. I need to figure out what I'm getting for PS3 now... definitely Valkyria Chronicles, and maybe Demon Souls (if I feel like having my soul crushed). Probably Assassin's Creed II and Prince of Persia as well. Eh, I'll deal with it when I get back to Vancouver, since our Wal-Mart doesn't really have much. Though apparently they're selling copies of Bioshock 2? Despite the fact it's not supposed to be out until February... I need to go see this myself before I believe it though lol.

Ahh, okay. Back to lazing around and playing vidya. I was planning on using the break to beat Devil Survivor, guess that's not happening anymore. Well, I guess it still could, depending on how fast I get tired of Persona. :|b But yeah. I only plan on spending a few days not doing anything anyways, since I've got a portfolio to work on and stuff. Mom's giving me until Monday before she starts nagging so. Yeah.

Got into Avatar for free tonight, it was really awesome. In my boyfriend's words, "the best movie since Star Wars". And he's the biggest SW fan I know so. Yeah.

Uhhh... been reading a buttload of manga recently. Re-read Loveless since I'm taking my novels back to Vancouver so I can make Pam and tseuq read it and ended up reminding myself that a) I reeeeeaaaally want to cosplay Ritsuka :x; and b) volume nine hasn't come out yet. >_> But apparently it just came out in Japan...? In theory we'll see it sometime early next year then... Also steamrolled through what's currently out of Ultimo and am working through Letter Bee right now. Ultimo is... interesting lol. It's weird, but I like it. And Letter Bee is adorable. Both have super gorgeous artwork too, which is A+ appeal points to me haha. ...I am so shallow when it comes to manga.

The past few days have been pretty normal. I finished my Christmas shopping a day ahead of schedule, which is nice. It means I don't have to fight through the crowds at Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve at least lol. Ended up going for lunch with my dad on Tuesday to Boston Pizza (his treat, obvs). Me and my sister are going to see him today so he can give us our presents and shit. Which reminds me, I need to wrap his... OTL

Skyped with x0g33k0x and mymerrilymemory last night, which was awesome. We ended up being the ronery, middle-of-nowhere club since everyone else who we usually chat with were OFF DOING OTHER THINGS THAT WERE FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN TALKING TO US. >___> *cough* I kid, ilyguys. ♥ But anyways, it was nice being able to actually talk to them again. Hopefully I can get (mostly) everyone together for another call sometime next week before New Years but... we'll see how well that goes lol.

Other than that... yeah. Pretty boring haha. I am such an exciting person. OH so I drew a picture tonight. I intended on downloading openCanvas and buying a serial key since yaaay I can actually start to afford drawing programs (...orz) but portalgraphics' site is being a douche and not letting me register properly so I went and got PaintTool SAI instead. *A* I'll probably shell out for a serial for that since I'm really liking it. My only gripe is that I can't pan using a keyboard shortcut but I'm sure I can figure out a way around that haha. Butyeah, here be the picture. My mom was in a car accident last night.

I don't know the extent of ANYTHING. I got a somewhat incoherent voice mail from my step dad this morning telling me she totaled her car and she has lots of pain meds?

My mom was the one to call me and tell me last night, no one in my own family would. The accident happened at 3 yesterday as she was coming home from xmas shopping, alone. She called me at 9pm last night and I think I got 3 hours of sleep I was so freaked out.

I still have to work; I can't get out of it because I'M the store manager right now since my boss conveniently got out of xmas. I'm going to throw a bitch fit until someone comes over and takes my store today because it's BULLSHIT. I can't do this.

Wish me luck; more on this later.

Hi I haven't posted anything in a week.

So I'm pretty much done school now, I've got a sewing test in cutting and construction tomorrow morning, but that's going to be super easy so I'm not too worried lol. I'm in for two hours basically and then I'm freeeeee except then there's a party on Friday so I have to make food. We're doing a Secret Santa exchange too, but I already got my gift for that when I was down in Seattle this past weekend. It's pretty awesome, not gonna lie. :3

Went down to Gasukan on Saturday with tseuq and hakukumo, my last one for a bit I think. Not sure if I'll be going to January's or not and pretty much anything after that until Sakura-Con is a no-go so. Yeah. I was super half-assed Christmas Italy, since I didn't get my uniform finished (again). I swear it'll be done sometime in the next century. ;A; Really. In any case, I got awesome pictures of PARTY HARD ITALY that I've been wanting for a while. Not that I actually partied, I pretty much crashed after these were taken lol.

Anyways, I'm on the verge of falling asleep right now (two all-nighters in one week, fuck yeah!) so IIII should probably go crash or something. Though my test doesn't start until 10:30 tomorrow so I can sleep in yeeahhhh. *rolls around*

I recently downloaded the 14-day trial of EVE Online, an incredibly complicated MMO that spans an entire galaxy. Although watching someone play the game is unbearably tedious, the stories are quite entertaining. Let me tell you a few.

Every star system in EVE has a security rating between 1.0 and 0.0. If the security rating is 0.5 or higher, agressive actions against other players brings swift and inescapable punishment from fleets of NPC police. The "low-sec" systems between 0.4 and 0.1 are more lucrative, but players can attack each other without immediate consequences. All of these stories take place in "low-sec", where I live like a jackal, preying on the weak NPCs, but skittishly watching for the big ships of other players, who often shoot first and don't ask questions at all.

Early one morning, I was going from asteroid belt to asteroid belt, fighting the NPC pirates for loot and bounties. Other players were in the system, so I kept an eye on my sensors, ready to flee at the first sign of an approaching ship. One of the other players started a conversation with me, warning about the dangers of low-sec, especially for a new player like myself. As we chatted, he revealed that he was basically trapped in this one star system, since both jumpgates led to high-sec systems, and he was an outlaw and would be shot down if he tried to enter. I said that living in one system out of thousands must be boring, but he said it was pretty fun, when traffic was flowing and he and his mates had traps laid at the stargates. He bragged about recently destroying and looting a hauler carrying cargo worth 30 million space dollars. "Don't worry," he added, "I have no interest in killing a destroyer." The gentlemen who seemed so concerned for my well-being was a pirate, and was only polite because I was not worth enough to kill.

The smallest ships in EVE, the first class of ship that players are able to pilot when starting a new character, are called Frigates. By training skills, players can learn to pilot Destroyers, which are bigger, slower Frigates with more guns and armor, then on to Cruisers, Battleships, and the like. Alternatively, players can focus on Frigates and earn access to souped-up versions of the beginner ships, like Assault Ships (a Cruiser-sized punch in a Frigate-sized package) or Interceptors (the fastest ships in the galaxy). It was an Interceptor that found my Destroyer in another low-sec asteroid belt. I tried to warp away, but its Warp Scrambler shut me down. I turned on my afterburners to get out of range, but my attacker was literally flying circles around me, so I could not run away. My guns couldn't track fast enough to hit, but my ship was tough, so my health wasn't going down that fast. Since I had nothing else to do while waiting for my ship to be gnawed to death, I started chatting. "What's your speed?" My attacker was happy to brag of going over 2000m/s, and that started a conversation about tactics and ship types, which continued as my ship exploded and my escape pod warped towards the refuge of a nearby space station. (Nearby in this case was probably around 2 billion km) "gf" said my attacker, jargon for "good fight", which was more polite than true. After traveling to a market hub to assemble a new ship, I checked my electronic wallet and found that my attacker had given me 1 million space dollars, enough to replace the ship I had lost.
